Alright, so this is my first hackintosh build, and I could use some assistance with the graphics card.

I will be dual booting win7 and OSX (still not sure how i'm going to get mavericks or Yosemite, my plan was to get snowleopard from apple and then update, but the card I want supposedly wont work on snow leopard)

Anyway!

so here is my build

Motherboard - Asus z97 sabertooth mark2
Cpu - Intel i7 4790K
Ram - crucial Ballistix sport 16gb kit (2x 8gb)
case - antec p280
hard drives - 1x WD blue 1tb HDD, 2x intel 530 120gb SSD's (for operating systems)
DVD drive - generic asus dvd drive
Video Card - so i'm looking at an Nvidia Geforce Gtx 770 2gb, as far as I can tell, nvidia is the manufacturer. here is link - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/nvidia-...D=1&siteID=8BacdVP0GFs-xwRO6nwdXlzctv9jaT6D2g

I cannot find it on the buyers guide, so I'm unsure if its supported. Plz help.

DON'T GO FOR 9-SERIES BOARD, ESPECIALLY IF IT'S YOUR FIRST HACKINTOSH!!!! Get a GA-B85-something (rock-solid stability) or GA-Z77-something (some room for overclocking). Consider Sony optiarc DVD drive . If you're not going to overclock, get the cheapest DDR3-1600 RAM.

from what I read the issues with the 9 series boards have been resolved.

From the buyers guide page:
"We recommend these specific 9 Series motherboards because they have simple post-installation, don't require a pre-patched DSDT, and have native sleep/wake functionality. They also have supported audio and network controllers. Please note, these motherboards will NOT work with older Socket 1155 CPUs."

Have they not?

The Asus z97 sabertooth will be fine...

Thank you!

any input on the video card?
Pretty sure its the Nvidia Reference, but i'm not 100% on that
