I'm looking at this motherboard for a hackintosh build. I just want to see if this motherboard will work.
Thank you in advanced for a response

I did my initial build with this board last night and it's awesome!

Gigabyte Z97MX-Gaming 5
Intel i7-4790K 4.4 Ghz
16 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
256GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD

Used Clover r2953 (latest)
Yosemite 10.10 from the App Store
Atheros E2201E onboard network working with "atherose2200ethernet.kext 1.0.0" driver
TPLINK TL-WDN4800 Wifi card working out of the box
GMYLE Micro USB Bluetooth 4.0 working out of the box

I'm going to work on the ACL1150 sound card tonight. I did an injection find/replace with Clover, but realized that I skipped a step. Thanks to the original developer for that info.
I haven't tested sleep/wake functionality yet.

Tonight, I intend to walk through the entire process again to narrow down some things I absolutely need. Are you interested in a guide?

The Geek Bench multi-core score was 16984.

I'm very interested in a guide. It would help me out alot ,I'm new to building a hackintosh so I would love someone to guide me through the process.

No problem. I'll write one up tonight and put it in the Yosemite Desktop Guides area. I'll post here when it's been put online.

Thank you so much

I have the same setup - I did about a dozen installs on my SSD using Unibeast/Multibeast before I was able to get a reasonably stable system. I am still having issues with bluetooth being unstable and random KP/Crashes while operating in 10.10

I have attached my Boot.plist here.

If anyone has some ideas on getting the system stabilized I'd much appreciate it!

Further to my last post. I seem to have gotten a stable install now with sound working etc however any time I try to play a movie in iTunes the system crashes. The desktop just freezes - no text of KP to copy. Does anyone have any advice? I have attached my amended plist here again. Thanks!
