Hi All

Looking into making a Hackintosh for testing purposes, running 3 different OS'es , and luckily have some budget for it as it's for an urgent project :)

What I'm looking for is the board that's most MacPro like compatible, with need for the least modifications if none
Would be testing Firewire, ThunderBolt and Fibre Channel with an ATTO card

I'd appreciate if someone can point me to the right direction

Thanks alot

hi moe. personally my prefrence is always a gigabyte board as i have always had great success
with anything i do with them . every model i owned i gave serious abuse and they have never let me down

consequently i was reading about possible thunderbolt options today and investigating in pcie cards for thunderbolt ports .
that was until i realized it is cheaper to buy a nice solid board with thunderbolt than it is to buy a card

(i can not reccomend this from experience ) as i have not owned this board but at the higher end of the market the Z87X-UD7 TH looks very interesting with thunderbolt 2 and some nice features .

i myself would probably go for the GA-Z77MX-D3H(TH) Intel DSL3510L chip with 2 Thunderbolt ports option at less than half the price . i have grown quite fond of Z77 and the 1155 socket ....without sandybridge!!! :beachball:

cannot say i have researched these two boards and compatability other than at face value and a tech spec sheet so please do not take my word for it . just a suggestion

oh... i just noticed your hardware underneath your avatar . my suggestions are no better than what you already have :D
