i found this colorful finder mod ... There is this nice little app to change the color of your Sidebar. Here is some info on it via the site,

ColorfulSidebar offers a simple but pleasing visual modification for OS X 10.7's Finder.

OS X 10.7 brought greyscale icons to the Mac OS X Finder window sidebar, but if you'd rather have some color back in your desktop window sidebars, you can get this done easily through a third party plugin. If you've been following some of our other Lion tips, you may already have SIMBL installed, otherwise it's a small download.

On the site you will find the download and install guide.

Great option for those who miss the old Snow Leopard Finder

ColorfulSidebar.bundle is a SIMBL plugin. You need to download too EasySIMBL.app from https://github.com/norio-nomura/EasySIMBL and install the ColorfulSidebar via the app.
For those who think SIMBL is evil because of system injection, I recall them that EasySIMBL.app doesn't perform like the old SIMBL. Now the plugins are installed in your home Library.

I recommend to download ColorfulSidebar sources and build the bundle with Xcode.
