Looking to upgrade to ivy bridge in the near future and just looking at some asus motherboards

Any word on compatibility? Was thinking of the Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe

Want thunderbolt support so considering these ones:

Maximus V Gene
P8Z77-V Deluxe
P8Z77-V Pro
P8Z77-V
Sabertooth Z77
P8H77-V
P8H77-M Pro

I would wait to see how compatible the new Gigabyte UP5 TH and UP7 are with Mountain Lion. I'll bet they'll the much more than any of those ASUS boards. I have an ASUS Z77 board, all I'm not sure if I'll ever get sleep working, and it is pretty unsupported in the hackintosh community, so I wouldn't advise going with ASUS. However, if you must, I have seen fairly successful builds with some of those ASUS MoBos around the site, just search and I'm sure you'll see them too.

My Maximus V Gene runs Mountain lion (and lion) very well. I don't use sleep so I can't verify it's status.

But there is no thunderbolt on The MVG

I use an Asus P8Z77-V Pro, which I didn't buy specifically for a Hackintosh build, that has been working great so far.

The only thing that isn't working for me is the built in Artheros WiFi card, which I don't really need.

When I was running Lion I couldn't get sleep to work, but since I never use that functionality it doesn't bother me.

I have no USB 3.0 devices so I haven't tried if that works either.

EDIT: Sleep doesn't work in Moutain Lion either.

P8Z77V Pro/Thunderbolt

The latest P8Z77 V Pro/Thunderbolt already has TB incorporated in the board. At about US$200, that seems to be a good buy. Although, the new Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4 TH is better (less worries) if installing Mountain Lion due to compatibility issues.
