Hellooo dear hackintosh community

So about 4-5 years ago i managed to assemble a very nice hackintosh, with a lot of help from you guys (thank you so much). I used it for music production. Worked like a charm:)

A year ago i recieved/barrowed a I7 laptop from my job, and they said it was under the radar, so i could consider it mine- so I did. I liked it, and therefor i donated my old computer to my less fortunate producerfriends, who were in need of equipment. My job needed the laptop back, so now i dont have anything.

So heres my question (S):

- Is Skylake/ddr4 really worth the wait?

- Do you think we will see skylake builds in the near future. Is this even possible without Apple having build one yet?

- Is it possible to detect a working motherboard at this time (i read that Tony just recieved some boards for testing)? I want to buy all the parts now, so that when we have some confirmed builds and bootloaders, I can start making music THAT DAY?

Yeah a lot of stupid qestions, I know:) I just want to show some love for you guys making all this possible, and especially Rehabman and Tony:)

Kristian,

For the newest working hardware that will boot and run OS X use the latest buyers guide. Skylake is a long way from Prime Time right now. Only consider Skylake if you already have suitable hardware to run OS X on for the next few months or are happy using Windows/Linux on a daily basis.

Early adopters have a hard time for the first few months. There is no support in Yosemite for this new hardware.

Hi Adrian

Thnx for the reply:)

Yes, that was what i thought:) Right know I am thinking about making one from the list, so I think this is the way I will go based of you information.

But I am a nerd, and for the last 4 years I have come to this forum and read the forums and the builds etc., and to be honest, the minute a recomended build using a Skylake cpu shows I will be tempted to buy that:) but I will cool it and "just" take a normal build:)
