Hello guys I'm in a hurry to build a hackintosh .
Will these components work

And I'm on a budget Strictly less than <$500

This is gonna be a productivity machine so i dont need a graphics card.
Intel Core i5 4440 @3.1 Ghz turbo 3.3
Gigabyte H97M-D3H
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB Desktop Internal Hard Drive (ST1000DM003)

I dont need a Graphics card not into gaming.
And will this work without graphics card.

Will there be any issues or is it fine.

Or will i be good buying a Mac Mini 2014 or 2012

Will be able to get 8GB ram on base 2014 model i know it's soldered but .
or would it be wise to go with Mac Mini 2012

OR Should i proceed with above hackintosh build.

I have a PC Running Hackintosh but has many issues graphics HDD and many
the current pc specs are
Intel Core i5 3330
8GB ram
Gigabyte H61MS1

PLease guide me

My first choice would be to go with the I5-4440/60 system. That CPU is much better than the
I5 you'd get in either Mac Mini. We will eventually get support in OS X for the integrated
graphics. For a mini pc option take a look at the Haswell I5 Nuc. http://www.tonymacx86.com/deals-day/149796-intel-nuc-barebones-kit-305-newegg-ram-ssd-489-a.html

It will be adequately fast for everyday use. Note that the install of OS X is much more involved on the Nuc. Read through Wonkey Donkey's guide for the details.

Yes, it should work one way or another - 9-series mobs are pain in the ass. Consider GA-B85-something board. And go for 4460 (3.2/3.4) - it is a bit cheaper and faster and you can fully mimic iMac14,2. As for RAM - I always buy the cheapest available, there's really no difference if you're not into overclocking.

Now, Mini'12 is total crap. Downclocked trimmed-down dual-core i5 Ivy bridge, 5400RPM drive (ok, you can switch that to an SSD) which works as slow as hell... I use the 2.5GHz model at work - my 3.30GHz Pentium G2140 rig (GA-B75-D3H/8Gb 1600MHz/nVidia 610) works way faster....

Mini'14 isn't much better. Yes, the ram is soldered onboard, not upgradable. You can only change the hard drive.

As for your i5-3330 build - it is almost fine, but despite the fact that most 6-series boards work fine with Ivy Bridge CPUs (some require BIOS upgrade), I would definitely replace it with a 7-series. I'm almost sure that any issues you have are due to a combination of Ivy Bridge i5 CPU with H61 chipset.

So if you're on a budget, go for this option:
- Replace your H61 with GA-B75-something board (there are several options, different set of back panel ports, about $70 at Amazon)
- Get a cheap video card - fanless Asus GT720-2GD3-CSM is just fine, or choose whatever card your budget allows.
- If you need full Yosimite functionality like handoff/continuity, Look for desktop PCIE Gigabyte WiFi card that has a mini-pci WiFi card attached on it; then swap the stock mPCIE card with a supported Broadcomm WiFi-ac+BT4LE combo (AzureWare CE-123 is just fine).

B75 Mobo + video will cost you about $100-$120 (plus $50-$70 for WiFi/BT combo) and you will get a rig that is definitely times powerful than stripped down 2.5GHz dual-core i5 Mac mini (yes, mini is build of laptop components).

My first choice would be to go with the I5-4440 system. That CPU is much better than the
I5 you'd get in either Mac Mini. 2nd choice would be the 2012 Mini, I've seen them for sale
new in the $470 price range. That gives you the option to easily add ram and a few years
down the road when it feels too slow, to easily upgrade to an SSD drive.

Mini is not worth that money - you get a low-voltage underclocked i5 with 2 cores, not 4. For that $470 you can assemble a decent Haswell Core-i5 8- or 9-series mITX system that would have potential for memory/storage/video/CPU upgrade.

Yes, the Mini is slow and expensive for what you get. It's main + going for it is ease of setup and
maintenance. The OP mentioned he had problems getting his 1st CustoMac system working so maybe
he's just looking for an easier solution that costs under $500, that's why I mentioned it. Doesn't
look like he'll be editing video or photos or gaming, just basic productivity stuff so a Mini or Nuc would
certainly do ok there.

Well I dont want a mini PC specifically just thought of getting Mac Mini because of it's price point.

Well my first hackintosh which i didnt buy specifically for Macintosh thought has many issues most of which could be attributed to intel HD2500.

So now I'm actually thinking of one more PC giving the current one to someone else.

Now I'm planning to get a perfectly(atleast the most possible) CustoMac under 500$.

So guys my doubts are does the below build work ,if it doesnt want are the issues which would run .
Or any more suggestions:

Core i5 4440 or 4460 any better cause it costs 35$ more
Gigabyte H97M-D3H

P.S: I dont need hand off or continuity as they dont matter to me

That build should be relatively easy to set up. Just look for a User/Golden Build with the same or
similar hardware for a guide. The 4460 is just a small 100 Mhz bump in clock speed nothing you'll
notice in everyday usage. Get one of the WD 1 Tb drives linked from the Buyer's Guide to
avoid the Boot0 error problem. The Black series drives have better reliability than Seagate.

http://www.tonymacx86.com/building-customac-buyers-guide-november-2014.html#System_Drives

Even though the B.G. says Seagate it links to the WD Black drive, which is the one to get for a
boot drive.
