Hi folks. First of all thanks for all the nice guides. Lot of stuff to read and covers. My questions might sound trivial and for that I am sorry, but I feel overwhelmed with all of it, so in hopes for some shortcuts... here goes.

First a few informations about my system. My system already has 2 operating functional OS's and a boot loader. GRUB. My primary HDD is actually a PCIE card, 750 series name as mentioned in $subj. It is setup in MBR mode (master boot record as opposed to gpt) and has sufficient space for an OSX partition. And I would love to fit OSX in there. That is my target. AFAIRead OS X will not prolly work on there. But that's ok, I have another SSD setup on SATA. OSX installer didn't want to see this drive at first, but I updated it's firmware with intel ssd toolbox and now it's ok.

SO... using this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...capitan-10-11-2-clover-guide-100-working.html I made my El Capitan USB stick in VMware. It worked for me. I was able to boot my system just fine, and install to the SATA ssd I mentioned earlier. El Capitan version 10.11.3.

Everything went ok, according to the guide until the nvidia part. First of all, I had to download a newer version of drivers. 346.03.05f02. The ones mentioned in the guide do not work on this version of El Capitan. Don't know if the drivers are at fault, or my 960 card, but when ever I try to boot from stick with nvda_drv=1 boots just fine but it seems the resolution or refresh rate or something is wrong. Monitor says wrong signal and closes off. keyboard lights seem to work fine. I checked in clover to have to right resolution. Some pointers here would be appreciated.

Second problem I encountered was with installing the boot loader. While the usb stick boots fine with test2.efi & osxaptiofix2drv, the hdd doesn't want to boot with neither. fix/fix2. with or without test2.efi. Clover loads. tried to boot verbose. both fixes (again, with or without test2.efi) don't boot. Could post pictures of screen but the error is very common. I'm assuming my mother board is at fault here. The guide was for ga-x99-ud4 but mine is ga-x99-ud4p.

And last, my system uses a Creative ZXR sound blaster. As far as I can understand no chance in hell to use that yet... right?

i remember not having nvme support in my usb stick for linux. gentoo.

back when i bought this system, nothing knew how to use NVME. and bios was somewhat sketchy. not that now is better.

on linux is quite simple. download stage 3. recompile everything from source just to make sure. then go on and install every damn thing i need. then move that distro on a usb stick. install grub on it. and that's it. self powered linux.

mac on the other hand... is not like linux. in so many ways :(

PS maybe i'm in the wrong market. as a linux guy, i just wanted to code an app for my phone that could send me notifications on my phone, sent by my linux servers. sms doesn't do it. neither does mail. i wanted something new, or old. something like ytalk.

things I had progress with: NVME. turns out if you just google "nvme mac kext" and then move that kext to the right kexts directory ... helps a lot. a god damn lot.

guide ^^^ previously posted except when u make unibeast el capitan usb bootable install media, u add one extra kext. if you have intel 750 series ssd... is ... just what u need.
