Hey guys,

I've been rocking unibeast/multibeast installs a few years now on my Hackinthosh. I've been wanting to try to upgrade to El Capitan by using Clover (mainly because of iMessage support), but never got the time for it. Now I do!!

To use this guide "http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...supported-intel-based-pc.html#create_unibeast", do I absolutly need to have my BIOS upgraded to UEFI absolutely? Or can I just skip UEFI and use Legacy mode when creating my UniBeast USB drive? Just don't want to take the chance of bricking my MOBO, since this is my "go to" computer for work...

Thanks all!

Bump.

Would someone please respond to this question?

Thanks.

EDIT: Tonymac's Guide for installing OS X El Capitan refers to Legacy Boot Mode as an option in UniBeast as this supports traditional BIOS.

You do not have to have a UEFI BIOS as Clover also supports Legacy BIOS so OP pmaly is good to go

P.S. If your BIOS can upgrade to UEFI then my advice would be to update your BIOS and take advantage of UEFI which has more benifits of over traditional BIOS

Thanks for the help guys. I've decided to go with Robbish's advice. I've update de BIOS to UEFI and installed the Clover bootloader. The only thing that is not working is my front USB 3.0 on my case. I'll look into that eventually.
