Hi all,

I've been patiently working away on my build to try and get Yosemite installed, however am unable to boot Unibeast through my BIOS.

My build;
ASUS Gene VII
Intel i7 4790k
GTX 780
Samsung SSD

I will be dual booting with Windows (installed on a separate SSD) but for the time being I will be working with the above hardware.

Mac version: Yosemite 10.10.4
Latest version of unibeast

The USB boot device is ready, was successfully installed with Yosemite.
My current issue is with my BIOS. Following many different posts I found I still have been unable to boot the USB.
Have tried;

Disable secure boot
Disable Intel LAN controller
Disable VT-D
Set graphics to PCI-E
Changed X.M.P profile to profile #1 after reading a thread but this didn't work either. Returned this to Disabled.
Disable fast boot
Mark OS type to Other OS
Set xHCI to Auto
The USB I'm trying to boot from is set up as MBR

The USB stick shows up in the BIOS with two entries;
'UEFI' followed by the name of the USB - when I try to boot from this, the screen goes blank for a second and returns to the BIOS again.
The other entry reads only the name of the USB device - when I try to boot from it, a message appears to say no Operating System could be found.

I'm slowly running out of options. All help is greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I faced the same issue and the problem was that my UEFI BIOS cannot boot on other USB that the ones formatted in FAT32. The Unibeast/Clover install explanation says that the usb key must be partitionned as one Mac partition with MBR, and that's why it cannot work.

I found another thread dealing with that and I was able to boot on the USB key :

Unfortunately, I cannot start the Yosemite installation, but it's another story.... if you manage to start the installtion, please let me know how you managed to do so!
