Hi there, I have:
Asus maximus VII hero
MSI Geforce GTX
2 DDR3-2133 G

I did every thing on the installation guide, but when a boot from a USB I get on the screen a apple logo with the processes bar until 1/3 and then stop. Please if some one can help I really appreciate.
Thanks.

boot with -v boot flag and see if you are getting any errors

I'm having the exact same problem, with mine... I haven't found a solution yet, so any feed back would be great. If I find a solution, I get back to you straight away!

TPWUK, I booted with the -v thing and found no errors, I just froze and then eventually shut down by it self. If you want a picture of what it displays when it freezes just ask. Thanks for any help

Please update your complete hardware details in your profile
(Profile link in upper right corner of this site)

System: Manufacturer/Model + Bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)

CPU: Detailed CPU model + Motherboard Chipset

Graphics: All graphics Devices + Screen Resolution

Without knowing your hardware no one can give proper suggestions for issues.

Is it automatically shutting down or going with reboot??

Posting a photo of your frozen screen while booting with flag "-v" will be helpfull.

Thank you for your reply, This is my hardware list:

GPU: Asus GTX 750 Ti, I am using a 1080p monitor
CPU: Intel i7 4790K
PSU: Corsair Professional Series AX 760 Watt
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97-D3H
RAM: Crucial BLS2CP8G3D1609DS1S00CEU Sport 16GB kit
Sorry where would I find which boot loader?

When booting with the -v I get what's on the attacked image and then the PC shuts down.

Thanks for the help
James

Well that screen shows that AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement, and that your processor is of an unknown type (not too important), there is also something i have not seen before but can't read properly as its clipped om your picture, but something to do with mismatched sizes. You also have a previous shutdown cause -128.

So you have plenty there to look up on for your specific motherboard ... Hope that helps you out a little more.

All hardware details shoud be in your profile not on post. It will help others to suggest solutions for your issues. Because no one will come back and check all of your posts for identifying your hardware details. Again and again you will get the same message like what i mentioned in post#5

Once you completed the installation you can update this detail as per which bootloader (Chimera/Chameleon/Clover) you are using for booting OS X from your HDD

When booting with the -v I get what's on the attacked image and then the PC shuts down.

Thanks for the help
James

Set Graphics Card as your Primary Video Adapter in BIOS.
Disable Internal Graphics in BIOS if this option present in your BIOS.

Try to boot with "dart=0 nv_disable=1 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -v"

Good Luck...!

Note : You are facing issues while installing OS X Yosemite. It will help you to get better response if you are opening this type of issue threads in Yosemite Desktop Support forum. Currently you are in BIOS/UEFI Forum.

Thank you so much for your response, It got me far further than before, but if possible I need a little more help!
I went throught the installer and everything was perfect. When the system rebooted, I rebooted through the usb and went onto the HDD that I had just install mac onto. The boot froze on the apple logo with the install bar about 1/4 of the way. I tried booting with:
"dart=0 nv_disable=1 PCIRootUID=1 GraphicsEnabler=No -v"
into the HDD but it resulted in this page:
MacBootError.jpg
Thank you for any more help!!

I'm going to toss this out there because I had a similar problem.

Bootup to your BIOS and set graphics to your builtin graphics. Save and exit.
Shut down the computer.
Remove your graphics card and connect your monitor to the builtin graphics.
Reboot the computer.

If you are able to successfully boot, then the problem is most likely the graphics drive needs to be update. If so, follow this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...am-new-gigabyte-750-ti-2gb-graphics-card.html

Another issue I discovered is Clover did not like me setting my system profile to a Mac Pro. As long as I use an iMac profile, all is fine.
