Hi guys,

Ok, I'm probably missing something big time but here it goes.

I'm trying to make a triple installation of Mavericks / Linux Mint / Windows 7 from a GPT disk, with UEFI.

I've tried to install and boot the Mint and Win 7, they both boot fine via UEFI with the 200 mb EFI partition formatted in FAT32

I've also installed the Mavericks from a usb stick, which contains multibeast . After booting it up with chameleon, I've tried to install the clover to a USB stick with UEFI, which also boots fine. (Althought I did not settled with kexts and DSDT yet, Clover comes up just fine when booting up from usb stick.)

After that, I've tried to install the clover to the hdd (fresh installation), with Clover installer, but I cannot see the UEFI option on boot selection menu during startup. Then I tried to copy the EFI folder from working USB boot up stick, but that does not work as well.

Then, I've tried to install the Windows 7 again with UEFI, which boots totally fine from hdd WITH uefi. Then I tried to copy the contents of the USB to write over the EFI folder in EFI partition, still no luck. I've restored the backup of Win 7's uefi contents, then after that, tried the Clover installer over that, but all I see is the Windows 7's EFI entry on the boot menu.

I'm using the last version of clover r2721 (or at least, it was the latest when I tried this.)

So guys, what am I missing?

P.S. Yes, I know that I just can go with the MBR scheme, but I'll set up quite number of partitions and GPT seems to be more friendly with high number of partitions. Besides the problem seriously drove me crazy.

Yes you are, like systems specs - how many hard drives and what's installed where...

Whoops, sorry.

I'm trying to install on an Acer Aspire 5755G laptop, with i7 2670QM processor 8 gigs ram and a single hdd.

I'm trying to install all to the same hdd, but it is irrelevant because it does not work whether I try to install windows / linux / mavericks first. I also tried to install only mavericks with single partition, clover still won't work at all when installed on hdd.

As I told, I also tried to manually copy the EFI folder from the working clover usb to the hdd EFI partition, still no luck.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding.. which bootmanager loads when you boot the HD?

If its what I think.. this problem is not explained well in any of the guides.. at best you get a recommendation that you copy files over and rename the ones in the windows folder (do not do that).

You should actually change which boot manager your UEFI will start. There is a hard way and an easy way. The easy way is to use this windows tool:

http://www.easyuefi.com

And this tool's functionality *should* be included in all the UEFI firmware setup AND/OR every operating system that supports UEFI booting, but it isn't and that is a flat out mistake on everyones part. To do this with the tool is a pain.
