Apple has just sent out invitations to a special media event on October 23rd stating "We've got a little more to show you." Rumor has it that the event, which is at 10AM PST/1PM EST in San Jose, CA will focus on announcement an iPad mini, but recently reports have mentioned an Ivy Bridge refresh of the Mac mini and iMac. Also the company may release a 13" Retina display MacBook Pro to accompany the 15" model released a few months back.

We think the refreshed Mac mini will most likely have mobile Ivy Bridge CPUs and Intel HD 4000 graphics, but the Ivy Bridge iMacs will have desktop Ivy Bridge Core i5-3570 and i7-3770 CPUs. The more interesting question is will the iMacs bring support for AMD Radeon 7xxx cards or will they stick with Nvidia's 6xx Kepler?

"We think the refreshed Mac mini will most likely have mobile Ivy Bridge CPUs" ... :(

The Mac mini has always had a mobile based cpu/gpu/chipset- it's basically a macbook in a shell with no keyboard/trackpad/display and some more port options.

i like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
