Read the end of the review.

Nice review- good stuff eel! Glad you found a nice keyboard to replace that old one. ;)

Is that an MX518 I see next to those keys?

Have you tried function keys in bios ? Them not working in Gigabyte bios has been the only problem with this keyboard.

What about BIOS configuration on your Hackintosh? I've read the keyboard has no Apple-Key... is that right? Atm i'm using a Windows-Keyboard... do we (need the Apple-Key?) :D

It works in bios just fine.

One thing to keep in mind is that when stitching between OS's (Windows and OS X), you should turn off and turn on quickly once you boot to desktop so that you can get the full keyboard hotkey functionality.

If you're just gonna type with only the character keys then you don't really have to do that.

Nothing happens if I for example press F12 to choose boot device, or use F11 or F12 keys in bios to store/load a bios profile. I always have to connect another keyboard to my GA-Z68XP-UD4 to do those things.

If you have any issues with the F keys while in Bios hold down the "fn" key and then hit the F key you desire to use.
I just tested on my bios and the delete key works to get into the bios but my F keys did not get recognized when pressing them. So I did a restart and pressed the "fn" key and then my F key and I was able to target disk

Ok well if you want to turn off your F keys so they are not mapped to what is printed on them or to hit the "fn" key, here is the quick painless fix.

Go to here
http://www.logitech.com/en-us/584/3129
and choose downloads and download Logitec's Control Center.

After you install you will need to restart

After restart you will be brought to the Control Center screen, if not it is in the System Preferences at the bottom.

Open it and click on the Keyboard and hit configure,
After that a new window will open and there is only one box to check for now, check it.

Once that is done your F keys are yours to use as you wish. So if you play WoW and you had your F keys mapped with a macro to pop stealth on your rogue and run away like a coward, well you can again :D

Enjoy and I hope this helps.

Oh and I also test in bios and F8 pressed by itself went to disk target (F8 on Asus and F12 on Gigabyte) ;)
