elcapitan-circle.pngAfter months of testing, Apple plans to release OS X El Capitan tomorrow via the Mac App Store.

Necessary for Update
To proceed with installation, you absolutely need the following.
  • Intel Core 2 or above, 64 bit CPU
  • A computer running Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later
  • Mac App Store account
  • Internet access to download the El Capitan Installation App through Mac App Store
  • About 6GB free hard drive space available in /Applications
Recommended Best Practices
When performing any full operating system upgrade, unexpected things can occur. To avoid data loss, these best practices should be adhered to. This upgrade should be a breeze, but if things do go wrong, you can always go back to your working installation.
  • Back up all of your data
  • Buy a spare 8GB USB drive
  • Clone your working drive
Site Updates
We're really excited to announce some long awaited major changes for this site's recommended tools. Soon we'll be releasing UniBeast 6.0 with a full installation guide. MultiBeast 8.0 for OS X El Capitan will also be available within a few weeks of launch.

Good news Tony, as always on this site:thumbup: Do you think official release will be much different compared to actual Golden Master 10.11?

Looks like theres good news for Unibeast and Multibeast users

By definition .. Golden Master should be almost identical in fonctionnality to Release

if you need Nividia Web drivers .. WAIT until they are available before updating.

And remember, no one will die if they are not running El Capitan on day one

Why do you say that? New system access restrictions have been lifted?

Anyway I think I'll do a clean install. It's way better?! I am on Maverick still ;)

I'm really excited for this!! For some reason I can't get Clover to work with any of my computers - it's very, very frustrating. My only Hackintosh success has been using UniBeast and MultiBeast along with your excellent guides and forums.

Clover can be a bit tricky on post install. recommend trying on a test drive I've been running Clover on my hack since 10.9.4 all updates I've done was directly from the app.
