Chimera has been updated to version 2.1. The major change in this version is the addition of Haswell CPU support. In addition, AMD 7xxx graphics card detection and preliminary OS X 10.9 Mavericks boot support have been included from Chameleon 2.2 r2246. Chimera is recommended for all users, and will be included by default in the next MultiBeast and UniBeast releases.

Chimera v2.1 Changes:

  • Added Haswell CPU support with model and speed detection
  • NOTE: OS X support is not yet native in 10.8.4
  • Disabled writing of boot arguments to nvram
  • Added AMD 7xxx graphics card detection
  • Preliminary OS X 10.9 Mavericks boot support
  • NOTE: For paid OS X developers testing the pre-release software
  • Reverted AMD graphics card reporting to Chimera v1.11.1 style
  • Reverted NVIDIA graphics card reporting to Chimera v1.11.1 style
  • Includes most Chameleon 2.2 r2246 changes while retaining all previous Chimera v2.0.1 fixes and enhancements
Chimera is an official branch of the Chameleon open-source bootloader project.

A standalone installer is now available at tonymacx86.com/downloads. For bug reporting, feature requests, and general feedback please use the Chimera Forum.
