What motherboards can you use for the Snow Leopard iBoot installation?
Can it only be Asus P55, H55, and Gigabyte X58?
I was planning on getting a Gigabyte Z97 or H97, but are they compatible with iBoot?
Thanks for the help in advance.
I've tried this using several different USB drives (at least 8GB) and on a Hackintosh running 10.9.5 and a Macbook Pro on 10.10.3. It gets almost to the end, but then the hang occurs. At the point it appears Unibeast starts to spin on something as the fan on my MBP goes much faster.
I've tried this off and on over the last several weeks, but...
I'm currently running 10.6.8 on my MultiBeast which has been a very reliable machine.
The instructions for upgrade to "Mavericks" seem straight ahead but UniBeast will not allow me to "select" an OS System - what I see are four (4) unelectable round icons
The thumb drive is Brand New and formatted according to TonyMac's instructions
So any of you struggling with this well known issue. :banghead:
For me the trick was to manually navigate to the InstallESD.dmg in the downloaded OSX Yosemite, open it with disk utility and then under First Aid choose the Repair Disk option. When that's done hit Verify Disk and if it finishes that without any errors you should be good to go....
